First let me tell you that I have a trade association, The National Needle Arts Association (TNNA). We have groups within this association and of course, I belong to the Needlepoint Group. Our Needlepoint Group has a wonderful website and it's where you can see some of the things I saw at the previous market, some of the designers and some wonderfully finished pieces. Check it out on our newly designed website, The World of Needlepoint. If you see anything you just "have to have", let me know and I'll find out more about it for you. Check out these painted canvas designers! These are the ones that I know have their designs on line. Of course we have hundreds more catalogs in the store too. We can order any of these designs and we may even have some of them in stock! Just ask if you see anything you like.
A Bradley Needle Arts - Ashley's canvases are whimsical and adorable. In 2011 she's come out with a line of dogs and cats on mini socks and you're pretty much guaranteed to find your favorite pet on them. She does a great line of mini ornaments and I usually buy too many. Check out her witch and other large items too!
Alexa Designs I should have added this website a while ago. I've been purchasing her Christmas stockings and just bought two more at June market. You'll find plenty of Christmas stockings here and they're priced reasonably! Just call me for a price and order as many as you want for every family member!
Alice Peterson Company Let's face it, we all know what Stitch and Zip kits are - but did you know there are now Stitch and Zip ORNAMENT kits? New in January 2011, we've ordered quite a few so that you can stitch lots for those people you want to give something handmade too - but don't want to spend too much on finishing! This company has LOTS of beautiful canvases, most painted on 13 ct. However, they will paint them on 18 ct. - just ask us when ordering if we can get that done for you!
All About Stitching - This is a great website that has plenty of ideas and fun canvases for everybody. I found some wonderful Halloween things, signs, baby items and ornaments here that you've seen in the shop. Check out the darling Christmas village and the turtles that you can make into frame weights. She's got wonderful kits too.
Amanda Lawford - Wow! Does she have a lot of great designs. I carry many of these in the shop - some of her Santas, some of her scissor cases, some of her autumn and florals, a few scotties - just a wide variety of great designs. amanda is the one with the GIGANTIC size Santas.
AMH Design, LLC. | Contemporary Needlepoint Kits - This is an exciting new FUN designer that's been written up in several magazines including an online newsletter called "Daily Candy". Her designs are fresh, quick and are on-the-go projects. Everything included!

Birds of a Feather - I love this designer and was thrilled when they started painting canvases. Some very "watercolor-y" designs, sampler types and more.

Brenda Stofft Designs - BEAUTIFUL canvases of dogs, cats, rabbits and Santas. You don't want to miss seeing these. Be sure to click on them to see them larger. We're having this trunk show in November 2010.

Cooper Oaks Designs - we've got hogwash, roosters and cat in the bucket in stock from market. Lucite holders for your smaller canvas pieces are here, French rabbits and more fun stuff.

Decorations Designs -NEW LINK As the artist emailed me, "Everything old is new again." You might remember some of these designs and if you loved them then and didn't buy them, here's your chance now! DJ Designs - I like the "Her Red Bike" one on this website. Think about doing those flowers in French knots! Dale does the ultra-cool New York stocking that you've seen in the magazines and he has a San Francisco one now too. He reps quite a few great designers so check around on his website.
Dream House Ventures - From the same company that brought us our delicious Soy Luster and Baroque silk threads, you can browse MANY designers here including Shepherd's Bush(!) on canvas, Elements and many more.
Earth and Sky Designs - this designer has lots of Southwest and American Indian influenced work, Christmas, florals and Oriental. I have to admit the Southwest and American Indian styles are my favorites here and you'll find lots of these in my stock!
Elizabeth Bradley - the CLASSIC in needlepoint, these kits are made in England and imported to the USA. Yes, we can definitely obtain these for you. I'm currently working on one myself with several more standing by to be stitched. We have several of the mini-kits in stock. Purchase it here and receive help if needed in the stitching method they prefer.
Elizabeth Turner Collection - This designer is also a perfect finisher for your shoes, handbags and belts! I just purchased a darling purse because the finished model screamed at me to own it! you'll love their designs and I can and will order anything for you - and then send it to them for Polly-perfect finishing!
Follow Your Heart Design - Here's a new designer with a nice outlook. Check out her stained glass type designs and especially her mermaid tail Christmas stocking! She's got some fresh new ideas that will get you and hopefully your daughters and granddaughters stitching together!
Four Wives Prework - check this out! Have you always wanted to needlepoint your dining room chair seats, a piano bench cover, a set of matching pillows, etc. but didn't want to do the actual design? Consider pre-worked needlepoint! You just stitch the background - the colored portion is already stitched for you! Check out these designs and let me know if I can order any for you. I'll also be happy to order the background wool you'll need in any color.
Gail Vail Designs - Gail has been around for a while but we LOVE her designs. She also carries the well known Fancy Carole line and has just started represented the Gimmies line too! Check out her wonderful pieces on this website and then order several mini socks - they work up fast!
Gayla Elliott Designs - Gayla has some great designs including belts, stockings, the cutest snowmen, coasters, and some really well detailed canvases. Check them out here.
Happy Heart Designs - yes this designer DOES have a happy heart. We have some of her designs in stock. The blackbird on the watermelon is a great piece for a stitcher just starting with painted canvases - you can pick some stitches and have room to stitch them before you compensate!
HP Designs - Many of you recognize HP Designs as the company with the beautiful lacquered boxes. Better than that are the canvases that fit them! I've purchased many of these over the last seven years and never regretted a single purchase. These are the true meaning of the word art. Enjoy! This company is now based in MICHIGAN!
In Good Company - this designer has mastered the art of painting their designs by printer! Honestly! These are well done, computer printed designs and the price reflects it. Don't let that fool you though. They've got lots of socks, ornaments, birdhouses, and CUTE cats and dogs that'll keep you coming back for more.
Isabel's Pocket - A really different style of needlepoint including vintage items and an alphabet series from 19th century Paris.
Jane Nichols Needlepoint - If you love whimsical giraffes, check this site out. There's lots of tropical fare on this site too. I'd say Jane just knows how to have a good time.
J. Child Designs - You've seen lots of Jennnifer's designs in my shop - her bookmarks, mini socks, pillows and lately, even full sized stockings. I just love the simplicity of her designs and you will too. Most of them are on 13 ct. and work up quickly.
JP Needlepoint - I LOVE Julia's things. They have a lot of wonderful purses (we've got them in stock) and her designs are wonderful. Her husband Pete is a real treasure too! They've got an easily navigated website and lots of animals to choose from.
Needlepoint by Jude Designs - Spicy! Judy was featured on the front of Needlepoint Now's July/Aug. 2010 issue for her Tabasco designs. if you're looking for Louisiana culture, look no further. She has the greatest 12 days of Christmas and some stunning crosses, medallions and fleur-de-lis.
Judi and Co. - I adore their purses at every Market and I think that you would too! The colors are bright, cheerful and happy on all these canvases and you would do well to purchase any of them. It's a good thing I don't have unlimited funds because I would have just purchased them already made!
Julia's Needleworks - Julia has DELIGHTFUL boxes, key chains, shaped boxes, shoes, and an unbelievable amount of canvases by all kinds of designers! Wait until you see it all. I can't keep her stuff in stock but not to worry! They ship as quickly as I order!
Julie Pischke Designs - What a website! There's so much on this one, I'm not sure I can describe it all. Take a look!
Julie Mar and Friends - Always beautiful floral designs, this company has landscapes and Christmas you don't want to miss either. Check them out!
Just Libby Designs - We LOVE Libby's line-drawn Santas and they all come with stitch guides. She's got some very adorable women and some nice teapots too! If you missed a Santa or two, here's the place to browse.
Kathy Schenkel Designs - Kathy has all the mini socks with the toys in it that we love so much. She also has large stand up Santas that have been a real hit here. Do you want stars with your favorite dog or cat? This is the place! Check out this site for lots of great Christmas ornaments.
Kelly Clark Needlepoint - Kelly came on the scene in 2005 and what a hit! Her Santas are old-time adorable men with animals around him and all kinds of details. Her baskets have been a hit too. Now representing Di Paolo.
Kirk and Hamilton - This great new U.K. designer will turn your head with their wonderful designs. Hearts wtih animals staring up at the sky, polar bear and penguin friends, house series with plaid borders, dog and cat ornaments and mini socks - you'll love their fresh new designs.
Labors of Love - This website has TONS of fun stuff that you probably haven't seen before. Wild women, clip-on bird ornaments, perfume bottles...check it out!
Lani Enterprises - Here's a wonderful website wtih something for everybody. Lani Silver has beautiful models stitched that you can see and her designs always have a level of sophistication that many stitchers enjoy. Take a look and then call or email me!
Lee's Needle Arts - Finally! Lee Needle Arts is now online with their whole catalog of delicious leather goods, fun canvases, Asian canvases, Christmas stockings and more. Remember they also have easy to finish round ornaments and mini socks - just stitch and fit it in the gold or silver leather. All of their leather is now SELF FINISHING! They have the finest leather I've ever seen in needlepoint and we do stock it too. Have a great time browsing!
Leigh Designs - Looking for something different? Looking for the perfect animal? How about florals? How about a whole set of them? Coaster sizes? This is the right place! Leigh is constantly coming up with some of the most amazing designs. Check it out and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Lund Enterprises - You all remember the pillow I have that says "I haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister". Here's where I found that gem! This designer has GREAT ornaments including those darling mini purses and shoes, sailing items, key fobs and belts - AND she's a really nice woman!
Lynda Cook Designs - These are great designs that you've seen in the shop before. This designer was being represented by a distributor but is now showing her own items. Dragonflies, flowers, hearts, snowmen and baby, we'd be thrilled to order any of these pretty canvases for you.
Maggie and Company (includes Ewe and Eye) - Wild and funky is how I would describe Maggie and Company! This is where I found Alice's Wild Ride. There are all kinds of crazy cats and dogs, women of REAL proportions, and just outlandish canvases! Maggie recently acquired Ewe and Eye and Friends too.
Magic Needle, Inc. - This designer has some art adaptations that you might want to browse and lots of general needlepoint including some favorites and some that you may not have seen. An interesting one is a dollhouse that would be fun to stitch! Judaica and a few other religious items are included.
MAP Designs - are you just starting out or you have a child that you want to teach needlepoint to? These designs are perfect for both of you! She's got great frame weights you can stitch for yourself too!
Melissa Prince Designs - I met this lovely lady at Market. She has beautiful Tuscan tiles, lifelike birds and fun ornaments for you. As a new artist, she's got a great eye for detail. Be sure to check out her website and let me know if there's something I can order for you. Several of her tiles are in stock. Great new evening bags with silver clasps at Columbus 2011 - one is really perfect for a bridal purse! And check out her latest Halloween bellpull!
Melissa Shirley Designs - if you love shading and detail, you must love Melissa Shirley Designs. Needle Crossings - Here's a GREAT website for lovers of all things seashore. There's lighthouses, beach scenes, Victorian houses...it's a beautiful website. Take a look!
Needle Deeva - Darling canvases including a huge line of snowmen, tons of Halloween and the best ever baby samplers, wedding samplers and door hangers I've ever seen. Judee at Needle Deeva is one creative lady. Take a look!

Painted Pony Designs - Probably best known for their angels with charms, Painted Pony does a lot of wonderful pieces including some mittens, lightbulbs, seasonal squares, snowmen and even Holiday Teapots (my favorites!)
Patt and Lee Designs - Met these people at market and their designs FLEW off my walls. Their cats are a favorite but I loved their samplers. Check it out! NOW ALSO DOING HAND PAINTED CANVAS.
Patti Mann - She's got tons on her website! There's florals, Christmas, fun stuff but what's really different are the Mike Savage designs. Check those out!
Patty Paints - Patty comes up with wonderful designs that fit Lee Needle Arts leathers and Chameleon Design leathers so if you're looking for a new canvas to fit a wallet or other leather item, check this website She's also got lots of wonderful children's canvases, Christmas stockings and the best dollhouse I've ever seen on canvas!
Pease on Earth - Belts, shoes and inserts for leathers abound on this website. Plus who can resist a name like "pease on earth"? Please don't whine that you can't wear a belt. One, yes you can. Two, who says it has to be a belt. Here's a few other ideas. A basket band. A guitar strap. A carrying strap for your favorite tote. Cut it up and make bookmarks (no, I'm not kidding, some of them are really cute). One of my customers cut hers in two and framed them separately over her son's and daughter-in-law's closets.
Peg & Tink Ink - Tink has some great ideas and some fun canvases. I have a few of her things in stock including charts and her alphabet books so just ask.
Petei Designs - Petei has a line of everything I think! There's storybook characters, Santas, hearts and if you're looking for a Boy Scout, Cub Scout, Brownie, etc. THIS is where you saw it.
The Point of It All - Goodness! Check this one out! She's got darling dogs and cats on brickcovers and just look under animals! Wow! Purses, Christmas, bench and footstool covers, florals, flip flops...you name it, I think you can find it here. But I just thought the dogs were amazing!
Preworked Canvases - yes we do have a catalog but they aren't on line as of yet. Just email me and advise me what you're interested in - chair seats, theme, etc. and I'll see what I can scan in and send you from the catalog sheets!
The Princess and Me - I love these little ornaments. I had their trunk show in 2005 and there were so many cute ones I couldn't send back that I might have the one you want in stock! I'll be having another trunk show so let me know what YOU want.
Quail Run Designs - Quail Run represents a LOT of different designers including Dayan Cameron, Robert Chapman, Nancy Coffelt, Carol Dupree, Terry Enfield, Kathy Fenchel (that's right, our own Kathy Fenchel!), Charlotte McDonnell, Nipper's Studio, Catherine Reurs, Julie Sackett, Maggie Swanson, Winky Wheeler, Deborah Woodard and more! Raymond M. Crawford - Raymond does some GREAT things with paint. He's got a wonderful line of 5 x 5 canvases that make great tote inserts, cocktail coasters and fun Halloween designs including Halloween stockings! He's always coming up with new things so check his site every month! See his interpretations of the latest, hottest shows.
Rebecca Wood Designs - Rebecca's attention to detail has made her a favorite here. Check out her stockings and ornaments!
Red Thread Designs - You've loved their little purses, and the ladies' feet. Keep an eye on this designer for more fun items.
Renaissance Designs These designs have always been fabulously bright and happy and you're sure to find something you'd love to stitch here. They have lots of crazy Halloween pieces, adorable snowman and happy Holiday pieces. We don't currently carry their thread line but will be happy to substitute or special order for you when possible.
Robbyn's Nest Designs - Robbyn has musical designs and teddy bears - things that are difficult to find in painted needlepoint! Her sunset pieces are beautiful too. She also does made to order pieces so if you want a personalized piece, just ask!
Rosalie Peters - these are traditional florals that you'll love to stitch.
Ruth Schmuff Designs - do you like fun, funky designs? Ruth is YOUR kind of girl.
Sandy Jenkins Designs - this website is a little bit hard to negotiate at first but it's worth looking around.
Sandy Grossman-Morris Designs - these are "computer painted" - actually done on a printer - designs so they're more economical but still well done and easy to stitch. They're bright, happy and some of them also give a portion of the proceeds to certain organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Check out Sandy's designs, especially the popular paper doll.
Sekas and Company - These are great, quick projects with stitch guides!
Sharon G - Sharon is a wellhouse of original ideas and designs. Check out her landscapes and geometric designs - stunning!
Shelly Tribbey Designs - Shelly does all kinds of things but is best known for her skates. You can stitch ornament-sized skates or real children-sized ones! Check it out!
Shorebird Studio - These are beautiful well painted designs that are really outside the realm of the "usual". Check out this designer and see what you think!
The Silver Needle - Officially licensed designs from Beatrix Potter, universities, storybook characters, etc. Remember the Spiderman I stitched? Get it here!

Sundance Designs NEW LINK - This company represents a lot of great artists including southwest and fun flamboyant styles. They have a line of beads they're we're bringing in and they always seem to come up with something that we just have to have! Check out all the fun items.
Sunshine Needle Arts - Here's a fresh new artist! Meet Elizabeth McElwee. She lives nearby in Illinois but traveled all the way to California just to meet me...okay not really. Do you love her rug? Just say the word and I'll order it for you. I did order the leaves you see to the right of it, hearts and some of her charted designs. Let me know if you'd like anything else you see here. We have to support our new designers!
Susan Roberts Needlepoint Designs - This designer has a HUGE amount of designs to see and you could spend hours just on this website. She's currently putting them up as fast as she can, so check back often. You'll find stockings, brick covers, ornaments, quilt patterns, animals and more. Not only that, but she holds the license to Tapestry Tent Designs so we hope to see them online eventually. In the meantime I have catalogs here in the shop.
Tapestry Fair - - I just found this artist when a customer asked me to look into finding the darling Thanksgiving Turkey shown in the July/August issue of Needlepoint Now. She hasn't been at market for a while but promises to return. She's got a wonderful line of western style canvases, art deco, animals and more. Be sure to check out the turkey!
Tapestry Tent Designs If you've never seen a painted Liz canvas, you're in for a shock. People often ask why they should bother to stitch these works of art. Be sure to browse this website and the beautiful stockings, animals and other items Liz paints. She is truly a gifted artist.
Terian Crafts - Sadly, Marian Wittman of Florida refuses to answer or return calls. If you know her or anything about this business, please contact me. For those of you that have run out of wool, the only thing I can suggest is to haunt your local yarn shops and try to find a match in a hand-dyed 100% wool (such as Noro). I have small bits of leftovers from my elephant pillow that may help you, so feel free to email me if the colors look close (see it on our Stitcher's Showcase).
Treglown Designs - This designer represents many artists but during the month of June, 2011 we've got Charley Harper designs. Be sure to browse these and order this month or any time!
Under the Rainbow - NEW LINK This designer has been around for a while because I remember her items - and have some in my stash! She's online and has cute needlepoint canvases at wonderful prices! Be sure to look over her skinny Santas!
Unique New Zealand Designs Anytime I visit this booth at market I always find something original, something a tad off the wall and something fun. That can include mini kits, watches, and wall hangings. Be sure to visit this website to see what those outrageous New Zealanders have come up with now!
Voila! C'est Fini! This site offers belt, shoe and handbag finishing as well as painted canvases. They have a stitching service for you too!
Whimsy and Grace - the bees, the sampler pumpkin, the pear I'm doing under pillows, the rabbits that look like chocolate mold rabbits - there is SO MUCH on this website to look at - you'll love it.
Winnetka Stitchery - What, did you think I made up the sayings I carry in the shop? No! I get them from places like Winnetka! She also has WONDERFUL trees. Check them out.
