Hello everybody!

Winter is half over now with January in the rear window.  One good thing about cold weather – it keeps you in the house and STITCHING!  I had a nice vacation in AZ seeing my sister Chris and even though she kept me busy with fun stuff, I got some stitching time in.  I finished the little snowman from the last year’s Needlepoint Now magazine, started the leaf project in this January’s issue and worked on a Club Santa!  There was some sock knitting too but I’m sorry to say that every part I knitted in the airports and on the plane was WRONG because I was doing a lace pattern and obviously couldn’t concentrate.  No worries, it’s all ripped out and reknitted.

February Virtual Trunk Show – Melissa Prince Designs

The next in store Trunk Show is not until April so I’m hosting a VIRTUAL Trunk Show.  That means, I’ve chosen a designer, you can order anything on her website or my in stock Melissa Prince canvases and you’ll receive 20% off the regular price.  February’s choice is Melissa Prince Designs!  SPECIAL PRICING ENDS FEBRUARY 15!

The robin wreath in the shop is a Melissa Prince as is the Blue Pumpkin.  Melissa designs movie coasters, houses, animals, and her latest are some wonderful sea creatures.  Remember, you don’t HAVE to make the movie coasters into coasters!  They fit in boxes, make awesome pillow inserts and would look great on a tote or the back of a jacket.  Her link is https://www.melissaprincedesigns.com/copy-of-about .  Call or email me for pricing and get ready to stitch some beautiful canvases!  The canvases shown above are just a few of those in stock.

NEW CANVASES AND TOTES

Orders from the last Market AND orders from this past weekend’s virtual market are arriving daily.  The colorful zebra above is a great design from PLD Designs.  I also received a shipment of the popular Walker single, double and triple mesh bags including those with handles.  I’ll get them online asap but if you want a certain size or color, just call or email.

Wreath of Leaves from Needlepoint Now

Our first get-together to stitch on these leaves was on Tuesday, February 7 from 10-1.  We reviewed the leaves and then shared ideas and stitched.  If you want to join us for the next meeting on Tuesday, March 7 from 10-1, please call me to reserve a seat.  We will meet monthly as long as there is an interest in doing so.  If you want to join in but would prefer a Saturday, please email me and I will see if we can get another group together.  As I am not charging for this, I would appreciate you purchasing your supplies from Homestead Needle Arts.  Of course your stash threads are welcome!  Even if you don’t want to stitch all 58 or so leaves, feel free to stitch a few as I think they would make a very clever small wreath or vine.

Saturday Stitch-Ins to Return in February

Our next Saturday stitch-in will be held on Saturday, February 11.  I have a seat available!  There is a a $15 prepaid non-refundable fee to attend.  The stitch-in is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This is not a class, just stitching together.  It’s a great way to meet other stitchers and get some guilt-free stitching time.  Seats cannot be held without payment so call or visit.

The heart above is by Needle Delights and I just re-stocked this chart.  You can find it on my website here.

Winter Weather Reminder

Remember, I live over 30 miles from the shop so if I fear for my safety, I will close.  I will alert you by changing the phone message as early as possible on the day of closure and also posting on the Homestead Needle Arts Facebook page.  You need not be a FB member to view that page.  Just go to Facebook.com and type Homestead Needle Arts in the search bar.  Then you can click on my page and check for closures.
