Hello stitchers and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
If you’re like me and DON’T make resolutions but still want to improve yourself, considering finishing an old project this year – so you can start a new one! I spent time during the holidays working on my Maggie rug. It’s not finished yet but I’m much more than halfway and that, to me, is wonderful. I’m also working on the Snowman Club pieces and a Guild project. Puzzles, reading, Skye and more filled my holiday. But now I’m ready to get to work. So let’s get started!
COLORS OF PRAISE TRUNK SHOW
It’s here! The Colors of Praise Trunk show includes brightly painted canvases like animals, flowers, brick covers, Lee Leather, Turtle Bag and Planet Earth insert canvases, sayings, letters and more like the ones shown above. Probably my favorites are the animals with the rose wreaths on their head. Those roses look great in either silk ribbon or a whipped spider stitch – or both!

NEW YEAR, NEW CHARTS
Needle Delight Originals has three new charts coming out later this month.
Lovestruck is about 11 x 15″. Lots of fun colors although she also suggests earth tones or Christmas colors. Chart is $45.50.
Rainbow Square is 12 x 12″ and uses lots of fun colors. Chart is $45.50.
Christmas Rounds 9 contains four different patterns. They’re about 3″ in diameter and the chart is $12.50.

TWENTY YEAR ANNIVERSARY
I’ve owned the shop for 20 years now! Can you believe it? I’m planning a February celebration but I’d like some input from YOU. What would you like to see here in February? I’ve got the Maggie Trunk Show coming and some other fun things planned. Let me know if you have a great idea that you think other stitchers would enjoy. Mark your calendar as FUN IN FEBRUARY! And put a special note on Saturday, February 17 as I have plans for that day.

NEW YEAR STITCH IN, SATURDAY, JANUARY 6 AT HOMESTEAD NEEDLE ARTS
Ring in the New Year by stitching on Saturday, January 6! Bring your project (and your lunch!) and join us as we stitch our way into the New Year. Stitch in will be held from 10-4 at the shop. PLEASE call or email me to let me know you’re coming ASAP so I know that I have enough chairs and tables.

Why I Wish There Was Snow
We did a lot of playing while I was closed. However, she looked like this nearly daily. If it would JUST SNOW then she would have something to play in and there would be less cleaning of her (and the house!) for me! Please! Send snow!
