The Kathryn Molineaux Trunk Show arrived yesterday and is hung in the shop until Saturday, June 19. Please be sure to stop in and shop before then if you’d like to see this trunk show and take advantage of the 20% discount. Kathyrn’s canvases are works of art in themselves. You can see them at this link: http://shorebirdstudio.com/. Just call me to place your order as these canvases are NOT on my website. Many of these canvases have a slight Asian influence such as the background patterns. There are lots of beautiful animals and birds. Some of her timeless classics include peacocks and koi fish.
The dogs shown above are an example of the many breeds sent. Just ask me for your favorite breed! You could put your dog’s name at the bottom or don’t stitch the bottom if you don’t want a name there. Or if you’re going to finish it to look like a snow globe maybe the word Noel or Merry!
Don’t forget! You’ll receive a 20% discount from our regular prices so be sure to shop during the trunk show. I will be happy to check stock with the distributor for you if you see something on line that they didn’t send.
More New Canvases
More canvases from the latest online Market have been arriving in the shop. I have all of them posted on my website so you can browse them. Some of them are not NEW NEW but they were in stock and I want you to have a good selection to choose from. The pretty flower cart above is by Sandra Gilmore and is a popular canvas. You can see all the latest on my website here: https://www.homesteadneedlearts.com/whats-new/
I Must Be Getting Old
In personal news, my husband’s electric toothbrush is dying so we looked around to get him a new one. Some of them are “blue-tooth enabled.” Why? Why would we need our toothbrushes connected to our phones? Are we afraid our toothbrushes will get lonely? Or that they will rise up and revolt for under-use? Or that we forgot to stick it back in the charging unit and need to check on it? It just makes me laugh and feel old.
Classes are Resuming!
Because we are allowed to gather in the store now, Tuesday classes have resumed with a few changes. As usual, please wear a mask if you’re not fully vaccinated or prefer to wear one. Thursday classes are cancelled for the foreseeable future. Tuesday classes are now held on the first and third Tuesday of the month only from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. YOU MUST CALL OR EMAIL TO RESERVE A SEAT not more than 2 weeks before the class. There is limited seating available which is why you now need to reserve a seat. I am now offering private lessons of 15 minutes so be sure to call or email me if you’re interested, 810-694-3040.
Customer Garage Sale Moved to 2022
The always popular Customer Garage Sale will not be held this summer. In light of current events and the limited space in the shop, I feel it’s safer to wait until next year. Thank you for your understanding.
Homestead Needle Arts has lots of small, portable projects in stock. I can kit them up for you with floss, pearl cotton, silk, metallics … anything you’d like! When ordering online, please advise what threads you’d like (or what you hate!) in the comment section and I’ll call you to confirm. This little whale sock would be a great travel project!
Current Mask Mandates and Hours
Currently, you need not wear a mask at Homestead Needle Arts if you’re fully vaccinated. Please continue to wear your mask if you’re not vaccinated or if it makes you feel safer.
Hand sanitizer is available at the front door. I will run any order out to your car or ship it to you, if you prefer. I expect that the Michigan Governor will roll back all mandates on July 1 and I’ll let you know if things change before that.
The shop hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thank you for supporting Homestead Needle Arts! I hope to see you soon.
