Hi everybody!

This past week Mike, Skye (!) and I went to Atlanta and I shopped myself silly at Market while they visited Ed and the family.  On the way down, things were budding and flowering and I thought Spring is on the way.

What a weekend!  Saturday morning, the first day of market I was awakened about 7 a.m. by the hotel fire alarm.  Mike and Skye were already downstairs so I slipped on my coat and shoes, grabbed my purse and made my way down 9 flights to the lobby.  Of course it was a false alarm.  HOWEVER, the elevators were now out of commission and even the firemen couldn’t reset them.  So for most of the day, I did stairs.  Lots and lots of stairs.  Eventually I heard there was a freight elevator but by then it was nearly the close of Market that day.  They did get 1-1/2 of the 3 fixed…the 1/2 one sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t.  Very frustrating!  I did get to visit the kids and grandkids twice during the weekend so that was great.   And of course I brought back LOTS of good stuff for you!

For those of you on Facebook, this is the first time at a Market I posted images (in a hurry) to show the purchases I made.  I did the same on Sunday so there are two days worth of pictures to see.   If you want to see them before I get them all on my website, just visit https://www.facebook.com/homesteadneedle.arts.  You don’t need to have a Facebook account to see the pictures.   I bought lots of small canvases at this market and there are some items that didn’t make the pictures – bags from Voila, new lights, magnets, tools, Planet Earth change purses and key fobs.  More items are on order and are already starting to come in.  If you see a canvas somewhere else that you just HAVE to have, let me know and I can order it for you.  I did my best choosing lots of Easter, flowers, some Halloween and Christmas but there is so much out there!

Laura Love Designs Trunk Show

The Laura Love Trunk Show is due to arrive here next week!  You can take a sneak peek at her items by visiting her website https://www.lauralovedesigns.com/.  When it arrives I’ll have prices and sizes of course.  Laura is best known for her garland designs like the one shown above.  Fall, Spring, Spooky, Thankful and Love are just a few of the great ideas.  She has Holiday Ornaments, Halloween, Baby, Seed Packets, Pillow Designs and more.  I’ll let you know when the Trunk Show arrives, in the meantime, go ahead and drool over her website!

Wreath of Leaves April Stitching Dates

The next Wreath of Leaves dates are Tuesday, April 11 and Saturday, April 15 from 10-1 p.m.  Come to one or both!  There are lots of fun threads being used on these projects and even if you haven’t started yet, you still can.  This would be a great way to showcase the stitches and then use your leaves for inspiration in the future.  Of course you can have a tiny wreath or a banner made…you don’t have to stitch all 58 leaves!  We had a short class on finishing them in March and if I can do it, you can too!  A big thank you to the girls in the photo above for letting me snap a photo.

New Books are Coming!

I have the new book from Whimsical Stitches on order anticipated in June/July and the new Master Stitches from the Squad #2.  I have no idea when Master Stitches will be in but if you want to be on the wait list let me know.  The new Whimsical Stitches concentrates on small stitches and how to find what stitches will fit your canvas.  I believe it is $44 as it is smaller than her others.  I assume the new Master Stitches will be the same price as last time which was $92.

Okay, I’m going to hit send on this newsletter so that I can start adding the new items to the website!  See you soon, Theresa
