I don’t know about you but I’m GLAD the election is over. The signage, the constant commercials, the ongoing rhetoric…all gave me Election Anxiety. I don’t know if that’s a thing but it felt like it. So how did I stay sane? Lots of nightly needlepointing! I recommend it for any type of anxiety. I’m serious. When I needlepoint, it’s like I enter a Zen state. I can’t say this for my beginner needlepointing students but once you have the basics down, it happens. So if you need some calming influence, dig out your current project and jump in. Listen to a book or music while you stitch for double relaxation. 🙂
That being said, here are some soothing canvases you may want to add to your project rotation.
First the long awaited Fox canvas from market arrived. He’s absolutely beautiful and will be made even more so by your stitching. I’d use an open stitch for that beautiful blue background to let the swirls show through. If you want one, please contact me and I will order it for you. $250, 18 ct. canvas, design size is 10 x 14″.
New from JP Needlepoint, this stunning peacock feather is meant to become an eyeglass case but you can make it into anything you want! It would look amazing on your wall too as just a flat fold finish or a framed piece.

Classes
Classes continue on Wednesdays from 2-3:30 p.m. and once a month on Saturday from 10:30 to noon. Classes are $15 and must be prepaid to hold your seat. Bring any needlepoint project or choose a new one and get ready to learn fun stitches and use new threads to stitch them. PLEASE CALL OR VISIT TO SIGN UP and pre-pay. There is no class on Wednesday, November 20.

Yes, I have gift cards! Have your loved ones call me and I’ll be happy to mail them a gift card for you in any denomination. That way YOU get to choose what you want for your gift. You can also let me know via email what your wishes are if your loved one would rather wrap a physical gift like a painted canvas, light, needlework stand, tote, scissors etc..

Here’s a picture of my favorite dog. The leaves are all raked into the woods now, but not before she got some play time in! Soon the snow will fly and she’ll be happy again.
