WEATHER ALERT FOR FRIDAY MARCH 3, 2023
There may be a snowstorm hitting the area Friday. Please be sure to check my Facebook page or call the shop before driving here. I will have changed the answering machine by 9 a.m. if I decide to close on Friday or Saturday. At this point, the storm is only a Watch so I’m planning on going in. If it comes later on Friday, I may leave early. Again, FB and my answering machine are your best friends for weather closures! https://www.facebook.com/homesteadneedle.arts

Leaf Class/Stitch-in Dates for March
The March dates for the Leaf Class/Stitching is Tuesday, March 7 and I’ve added another day – Saturday for those of you that can’t make it on Tuesdays! The first Saturday will be March 11. Just email me if you haven’t already signed up and let me know which date you’ll be attending. Remember, the time is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. I’ll spend some time going over tips and tricks and this month and I hope to cover finishing the leaves yourself! Join in anytime, just be aware that you must have your own copy of the magazine. There is no cost.
Because I am not charging for this, I would appreciate you purchasing your supplies from Homestead Needle Arts. Of course your stash threads are welcome! Even if you don’t want to stitch all 58 leaves, feel free to stitch a few as I think they would make a very clever small wreath or vine.
A few of my finished leaves are shown above! I’m doing a fall colorway and would be happy to help you choose your colors and threads.
Spring Needlepoint Market
There’s a Spring Market I’m heading to in mid-March in Atlanta, GA. I will be closed from Thursday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 21. Please visit before then! And of course afterwards to see what clever canvases I may bring back. If you forget the dates, no worries, I’ll send another newsletter before I close.
Saturday Stitch In, March 25, $15
The next Saturday stitch-in is Saturday, March 25. Remember, space is limited. Please pre-pay your non-refundable $15 to attend. The stitch-in is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is not a class, just stitching together. I HAVE A NEW KEURIG coffee machine for your use at the shop. Bring your own pod and cup or I have Dunkin Donut’s coffee and cups available.
Wednesday Classes Continue
I’m teaching on Wednesdays from 2 – 3:30. There are openings on March 8 and 29 but only two openings on March 22. I will NOT be teaching on Wednesday March 15. Just call me to arrange for your seat; pre-payment of the $15 fee is required. 810-694-3040. If class is cancelled due to weather concerns, you will not lose your credit towards a future class.
Taking Orders for the Sudberry Octagon Box
Just $60 if you order by March 10. This gloss finished box features an octagonal shape, interior mirror and a round insert for your 4″ diameter needlepoint. Yes, there are instructions so you can finish it yourself. (Shown canvas is not included).
That’s All for this Week
Except for a picture of the Mud Queen. Please note the black legs! This is why I prefer snow over rain!
Happy Stitching!
