What a crazy month it’s been! First the niece’s wedding in PA – she is absolutely beautiful by the way!

Prizes! Yes, there will be three prize drawings too! All shoppers who use the phone or website to place an order will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Homestead Needle Arts. a hand painted canvas by Shear Creations of four curly toed Christmas socks and a set of 15 Essentials threads by Planet Earth. Drawing will be held Tuesday October 31 and the winning items will be shipped with your order. I’ll post the winners on my Facebook page as soon as I can.
NEW THREADS
The following threads were new at Market and I picked them up too! Kreinik has two new colors – light apricot and dark chocolate. I purchased both of these in #12 braid but can order other sizes if you need them.
Rainbow Gallery introduced Petite Entice. Entice is a shiny rayon blending with a metallic and this is the same but much thinner. It’s perfect for when you want to do light stitches and let the painted canvas show through OR if you have a bulky stitch such as a whipped spider and want to use a little finer thread. There are also new colors of Wisper and I purchased the red and the orange. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be purchasing the whole line of Petite Entice – let me know what you think.
ThreadworX has new floss colors and new overdyed Vineyard Silk colors too. There’s actually six floss colors but I’m missing one and will re-order it.
Straw Silk introduced four new Core Color Palettes. This included Spring Greens, Classic Greens, Fawny Tawny Browns and Cowboy Copper Browns. There are five colors per card and 6 yards of each on these cards. Many palettes have an overdye that inspires the collection which will be in the third slot. Subscription Palettes are a limited offer program which I have enrolled in. The retail of each card is $22. If you’re interested in receiving these every quarter, let me know and I’ll set them aside for you.
NEW BOOK
Julia Snyder has written another book and this one is called Next Level Stitches. They are being shipped so I can’t review it yet for you but if you’re a Julia fan be sure to sign up for one of the six I ordered. I have reordered Backgrounds & Such and Categories for Needlepoint also.
