Hello again! Just a few things to tell you about this week.
NEW BOOK! Inspired by Threads, a Revised 3rd Edition of Threads: A Needle Necessity
This is a great resource if you’re newer to the world of threads OR just want a good reference book. The author dedicated a page to each thread that she has tried and reviewed and includes information about the thread including what it’s made of, who makes it, whether you should use it in single or multi-strand and other tips like what and how to stitch with it.
The threads are listed alphabetically and the book is over 157 pages. The last twenty pages or so includes more tips on planning your project, the elements of threads and their nature, needles and sizes, calculating how much thread to purchase and stitching tips for different types of threads. The last two pages are a thread usage chart AND that same handy chart is included in a laminated page so that you can take it with you when thread shopping. The chart names the type of thread, the fiber, the yards on one spool or card, the strands that make it up, and how many plies to use on 18 and 13/14 mesh canvas. So handy! Next Needlepoint Now Wreath of Leaves Stitch-In Date
The next date to meet and stitch on our leaves is Tuesday, May 16th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Haven’t started yet? That’s okay! Come on in and join the fun. No fee but please email me if you will be attending and haven’t already told me so.
Wednesday Classes
There are seats open in the Wednesday classes. Time of class is 2 p.m. to 3:30. You must sign up and pay the non-refundable cost of $15 in advance. I limit the number of students in this class so be sure to sign up early so you’re not disappointed. If you need a one-on-one class, I will be offering them at a cost of $20 for 15 minutes. Again, please sign up in advance so I can plan my work schedule.

Skye Update
My little monster turned 7 on Monday. Yes, she got extra love, snacks and a toy for her birthday! She JUST MIGHT be old enough to bring to work. Here she is, posing for me. She forgot to smile but believe me, she’s happy.
